Show i "Beef for Father's Day Week" Proclaimed The Iron County Cowbells, an affiliate of the National Cow-belle Cow-belle Auxiliary, will participate this next week in a national promotion pro-motion of "Beef for Fathers' Day." Mrs. Ken G. Jones, president of the Iron County group, stated that cafes and grocery stores of the area will participate in the week-long observance which will begin Monday, June 14, and continue con-tinue through Sunday, June 21 Father's Day. In Cedar City Mayor Kumen S. Gardner has proclaimed the week as "Beef for Father's Day Week," and asked citizens of the area to cooperate in the promotion promo-tion as a means of supporting a basic industry of the entire southern Utah area. As a special feature of the promotion pro-motion Lin's AG Super Market will award a five pound beef roast to the father of the first baby born at the Valley View Medical Center on Father's Day. Special bargains and promotion promo-tion of American grown beef will be featured in food markets, and special beef menus will be featured fea-tured in cafes throughout the week, Mrs. Jones stated. On hand for the signing of the proclamation in the Mayor's office of-fice were officers of the Iron County Cowbelles, Mrs. Jones, president; Mrs. Richard Leigh, vice president and Mrs. Grant Hunter, secretary. The officers are in charge of the activities of the special week. |
