Show Free Lessons, Life Saving Courses Offered At Cedar City Municipal Swimming Pool The Cedar City Municipal Swimming Pooi, which opened this past week, will move into full operation Monday when regular re-gular swimming lessons and special spe-cial Instruction will get underway. under-way. Wallace Osborne, pool manager, mana-ger, announced that lessons will begin Monday. Schedule calls for boys over 6 on Monday and Friday Fri-day at 10 a. m.; girls over 6, Tuesday and Thursday at 10 a. m.; and adults on Wednesday at 10 a. m. He pointed out that learing to swim is fundamental to enjoyment enjoy-ment of swlming and young and old alike should take advantage of the opportunity of the free Instruction afforded. It was also noted that all sessions will begin at 10 a. m. However, the groups will then be divided into other groups at other times according to swimming skills. Junior Life Saving Course this year will be a progressive course that will start with the fundamentals funda-mentals of swimming and progress pro-gress through the life saving work. This course Is designed for boy scouts. When they complete this course they will qualify for their swimming and life saving merit badge. The pool management manage-ment has gone to a great deal of effort to make this course available. The course will begin on Saturday, June 20 and will run through July 11 with starting time again at 10 a. m. The senior Life Saving Course is designed to qualify adults for lifeguard work. The students will be tai'ght very advanced swimming swim-ming and life saving techniques. Anyone interested are urged to attend. It will begin on Saturday, Satur-day, July 18 at 10 a. m. Regular pool hours are from 2 to 9:30 p. m. Monday through Saturday and will be closed on Sundays. Towels and suits are available for rent. Regular admission ad-mission is adults 35 cents; children chil-dren 20 cents and 40 cents for all after 6 p. m. Season tickets are available for families at $12.50; Individuals $7 and afternoon only on-ly at $5. |
