Show CSU Summer Session Shovs Enrollment lump First day of registration at College of Southern Utah summer sum-mer school showed nearly 200 students on campus according to Chairman Dr. McRay Cloward. "This represents almost 25'o increase in-crease over the total of last summer's sum-mer's session," said Dr. Cloward, "and we have two more special sessions as well as a number of work shops still to begin in the next weeks." Two evening classes have been added to the summer curriculum both taught by Dr. Richard Thompson. Anthropology 31 will be a 3 credit class taught Monday Mon-day at 6:30 to 9 p. m. History 176 on Wednesday from 6:30 until 9 p. m. will examine major forces In U, S. history from 1919 to the present. Both classes will be held in the Museum. Four new classes will be add- ed to the course when the special spe-cial second term gets underway on June 23. Eight courses will get underway for the two week period from June 29 to July 17. Full information is available from the Office of Information Service at CSU. Additional workshops will feature fea-ture Music Materials June 22 to 24 under the direction of Gloria Follett. Choral Methods and Materials Ma-terials will be taught by Dr. Blaine Johnson June 25 through July 3. A special Writing Feature Fea-ture Articles will be directed July 8-10 by education writer LaVor Chaff in, Salt Lake City. Dr. Cloward indicated that the Eastern U. S. History Tour under the direction of Professor Theron Ashcroft had been completely filled up and they could accept no more applications. This group will leave Cedar City July 23. |
