A spokesman for the national committee indicated that an ajl-out ajl-out effort will be made to strengthen the military reserve-through reserve-through the increased voluntary enlistment of young men of the 17 18H age group in the six-month six-month plan, the one military service ser-vice that enables young men to fulfill their military obligation by being full-time civilians and part-time soldiers, after six months of training. I The committee further stated, "We feel that the primary reason rea-son why the new six-month training program has not produced pro-duced more enlistments is lack of understanding of the opportunities oppor-tunities and privileges for young men to serve their country. We are convinced that the national security may well depend on the American people becoming aware of this program and supporting sup-porting it.
