Four students represented the "Smoke Signals," the school paper. pa-per. They were: Dennis Colbert, assistant editor; Jackie Boss,' Barbara Bar-bara Bauer and Zina Limb. Representing Rep-resenting the "Cedarian" the yearbook, were: May Vonna Whatcott, editor; Carol Ann Par-ry Par-ry and Marie Beck. Classes were held from 10 a. m. until noon and from 1 p. m. until 4 p. m. During the lunch hour the students were treated to a lunch prepared by the home economics department on the campus. The conference was very educational edu-cational and helpful to all students stu-dents attending and Cedar High's representatives would like to thank C S U for giving them the opportunity to attend. Editors Chosen Tuesday afternoon at 3 the Student Council sat in session and selected the editors of the school paper and yearbook for the year 1956-57. Chosen to edit the school paper was Dennis Colbert, a Junior student. stu-dent. He wtfl be assisted by Jack-ie Jack-ie Boss, the assistant editor. Cedar Hirth i-Yhoot b.vvlj under the direction of Eugene Helland, took a two-day concert1 tour into the southern I'tah j southern Nevada area, April 23 and 24. On the schedule were appearances appear-ances at Dixie High, St. George; Boulder City High in Boulder City, and Rancho High in Las Vegas. While in Nevada, the students stu-dents were taken on a tour of Hoover Dam and attended a show at the Thunderbird Hotel. The group returned to Cedar City late Tuesday night, tired, but pleased with the trip. Career Day Wednesday was a verv outstanding out-standing day at Cedar Hieh as that was the date of the annual Career Day. The day began with a 9 o'clock assembly in which Director Di-rector Braithwaite, from C S U, gave the keynote address. Roy L. Halversen, accompanied by his, daughter Marilyn, played two violin so,'os. A special word of thanks goes to the many C S U faculty members mem-bers and the prominent business and professional people in the city, for coming over to the high school and helping make Career Day the success th.it it was.
