Show College Coeds Engage In Annual AWS Week Activities Women students of the College Col-lege of Southern Utah are engaged en-gaged In a full schedule of events this week, staged as Associated Women Students week at the college. Activities openpd on Sunday, Sun-day, April 22, and will continue next Sunday. April 29. with a wide range of events planned by the AWS leaders'. Today, Thursday, the women students have traveled to St. George for a swimming party. Friday night the AWS "Last I Chance Dance" will be held, the I coeds having drawn for their partners for the event. Climaxing the week's activities will be the annual fashion show and mothers' and daughters' tea to bo held Sunday afternoon. The fashion show wUl be held in the auditorium beginning at 2:00 p. m., and will continue until the girls have modeled their apparel made during winter clothing classes at the college. The tea will be held in the library lounge fmny 4 00 to 6:00 p.m. The program of activities has been arranged by AWS officers Including Marlyn Lovell, president; presi-dent; Ora Mae Harris, secretary; Virginia Topham, Donna Rae Dix Glenna Rife and Florine Richardson, Richard-son, representatives. Directing the students in arrangements for the popular fashion show is Miss l Jayne Winters, home and family I living instructor at the college, land Miss Evelyn Applonie, instructor, in-structor, Is acting as faculty advisor ad-visor on other events. During the ween new officers to serve during the next school year will be elected. All women students on the campus have been participating in the week-long event. |
