Two Days of Horse Racing Planned At Iron Bowl Track Plans are progressing rapidly for a two-day race meet to be i held at the Iron Bowl track in Cedar City on Friday and Saturday. Satur-day. May 4 and 5. and indica- j tions point to the participation in the meet of a large number of the best horses from Souhern 1 Utah and Nevada. The meet will be sponsored by a group of local racing enthusiasts in the hopes of making it an annual event and reviving racing here. The program calls for eight races on each of the two days, with special spe-cial events between races. The Pangultch Riding Club and the Red Hill Wranglers of Tarowan have agreed to participate in the event and will stage several com-i com-i petitive riding games on each of the two days. First race on each day will be run promptly at 2:00 p. m. The track has been put In excellent ex-cellent shape for the meet and a number of horses are being ( worked out dally at the track. ( The grounds have also been i thoroughly cleaned In prepara-i prepara-i tlon for the event.
