Show Cedar High School To Host Region Music Festival ' The Cedar City High School will play host to tme Region Six Music Festival, largest and perhaps per-haps most Important single school activity of the year, on Saturday, May 25. Several hundred hun-dred students will converge on the city for the one-day event and participate In a busy day of activities. Bands, orchestras and choruses from Delta, Millard, Beaver, Mil-ford, Mil-ford, rarowan, cedar city, enterprise, en-terprise, St George, Hurricane, Orderville, and Kanab high both senior and junior high will participate. Bands and orchestras or-chestras will compete In playing and sight reading events, and as a climax of the event will participate parti-cipate in maneuvers and a parade. pa-rade. Chorus work will feature boys', girls' and mixed choruses, from both senior and unior high school groups. Eugene Helland, band director at Cedar City High School, Is general chairman of the event, and will announce a detailed program early next week. Places and times for each of the events will be listed so that people interested may hear the performance perform-ance of any particular group. Judges will also be announced this week, Mr. Helland says. Events will begin at about 9 a. m. and continue throughout the day, until the band paradp in the late afternoon.
