Show Prominent Cedar City Seamstress Succumbs in Salt Lake Miss Henrietta Mackelprang, 73, life-long resident of Cedar City, died early Monday of a heart ailment. Funeral services were conducted In the First Ward chapel Wednesday afternoon, with burial in the Cedar City cemetery. Miss Mackelprang was born in Cedar City on May 19, 1891, a daughter of Christian and Lcnora Mackelprank. She attended schools here and was formerly active in church aflairs, particularly particu-larly the Sunday School and choir. Survivors include a twin brother, bro-ther, Joseph Mackelprang, and three sisters, Mrs. Amelia Adams, Mrs. Polly Sandin and Mrs. Naomi Na-omi Perry, all of Cedar City. The funeral services were conducted con-ducted by Bishop Parson U. Webster, Web-ster, who also gave a prayer at the mortuary prior to the services. ser-vices. ' Speakers were Samuel F. Leigh, Charles R. Hunter and Bishop Webster. The musical program Included the opening song by a quartet composed pf Lois McConnell, Zel-ma Zel-ma Lunt, Ray Cosslett and C. Wm. Macfarlant ; a vocal solo, "One Sweetly Solemn Thought," by Ray Cosslett, and the closing song, "I Need Thee Every Hour," by the quaVtet, Mrs. Beth Leigh was accompanist, and prelude and postlude organ music was by Gloria Dotson. Invocation was by H. H. Lunt benediction by C. William Mac-farlane, Mac-farlane, and the dedicatory prayer by Henry P. Dotson. |
