Show Funeral Services Honor Memory Of Robert M. Miller Funeral services for Robert M. Miller were held Saturday noon in the Parowan Third Ward chapel cha-pel with the impressive services being conducted by Bishop Howard How-ard Knight of the parowan Second Sec-ond Ward. Mr. Miller, a son of Pres. arid Mrs. Taylor Miller, and husband of Malo McNicol Miller, died just a week earlier in Honolulu Hono-lulu where he has resided for the past three years. Speakers at the services were Harley W. Dalton and Pres. W. Clair Rowley, with closing remarks re-marks by Bishop Knight. The invocation was by Pres. J. Harold Mitchell, the benediction was by Hugh L. Adams, and the grave was dedicated by Oscar J. Hulet. Musical numL-ers on the program pro-gram were a song, "There's a Beautiful Country," by a double mixed quartet composed of Verl Taylor, Ray Lyman, Alice Mitchell, Mitch-ell, Cherle Day, Berta Burton, Veda Adams, Karl Mitchell and Watson Adams accompanied by Mary Lyman; a song, "I Walk Today with God," by a ladies trio composed of Shirley Evans, Ramona Stubbs and Elna Stubbs, accompanied by Itha Mortensen at the organ and Barbara Jane Bayles at the piano; an organ and piano duet by Mr. and Mrs. Morris Rowley, Provo, brother-in-law and sister of Mr. Miller, and the closing song by the quartet, quar-tet, "Lead Me Gently Home." Military services were conducted conduct-ed at the cemetery by Parowan Post No. 20, American Legion, directed by A. B. Matheson with Victor Robinson, post chaplain, presenting the flrg which covered cover-ed the casket during the services I to the wife of the deceased. |
