The group went to Enoch for its ice skating after which the members were served chill arid hot chocolate. choco-late. The physical education department depart-ment has bought some new equipment this year to aid in the physical development of the high school students as well as to make the classes more enjoyable. enjoy-able. A trampelinr; was purchased last spring. The trampeline is a heavy canvas connected to a metal frame by springs. It stands about four feet off the floor and can be folded for storage. Some of the more recent equipment added are traveling rings, whereby where-by a person can swing hand over hand across the gym on rings suspended from the ceiling at intervals in-tervals of about 10 feet; flying rings, two rings suspended from the ceiling on which one can perform per-form acrobatics; a wall ladder, a ladder hung horizontally on braces fastened to the wall, and a set of bar bells. The Student Council laid aside the worries of running the high school last Saturday afternoon and went up to the College of Southern Utah ranch in .Cedar Canyon. Skiing and tobogganing were the order of the day after which the council was served chili, hot chocolate and pie. The party was under the direction of Richard Gillis, advisor to the student council; Morris Slack, student body president, and Mar-gene Mar-gene Isom, student body vice president. "White Orchids" will be the theme of tnj Seminary Swing to be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at 8:30 In the First-Fifth Ward chapel. The seminary is working hard to make this one of the nicest dances of the year. |
