Show IiI-Men Begin Play In Stake Basketball League M-Men basketball play got under un-der way in Parowan Stake on Monday night of this week with four teams fighting It out for stake honors, according to Thales Brown, stake athletic officer. In Monday's games, Paragonah won from Enoch by a 40 to 30 score, and Parowan Third defeated Parowan Par-owan First-Second, 38 to 28. The next round of play will be staged Saturday, with Taragon-ah Taragon-ah playing Parowan First-Second and Enoch playing Parowan Third. These games are played in the Pt.rowan High Sdwol gym with everyone invited to attend free of charge. In the Junior M-Men league, five teams are entered from the three Tarowan Wards and Enoch and Paragonah. Three rounds have been played to date with the Taragonah and Parowan Second Sec-ond wards undefeated so far and with these two teams to meet for the first time Saturday night in the high school gym with play to start at G:30. Mr. Brown states that plans are well under way for the Regional M-Men tournament which will be held in the Parowan High School Gym Feb. 2, 3, 4 and 5. Winning teams from Beaver, Parowan, Cedar. Ce-dar. St. George, Zion Park, Ka-nab, Ka-nab, Uvada, Moapa, and Las Vegas Ve-gas stakes will participate In the tourney, w ith the winner to enter the All-Church tourney at the B Y U fieldhouse in March. |
