Show Cedar High School Girls Participate In Homemaker Search Jan. 12 will be "Homemaker of Tomorrow Day" in Cedar City. It will be a day of opportunity for the senior girls of Cedar City High School who have enrolled in the Betty Crocker Search for the American Homemaker of Tomorrow. To-morrow. Simultaneously, 189,530 young women of the senior graduating" classes in 8,090 participating high schools throughout the United States will take a written examination exam-ination testing their aptitude for homemaking. This 50-minute written examination exam-ination will be the basis for selecting se-lecting the Homemaker of Tomorrow Tomor-row in each school, state and, finally on April 21, the nation. Scholarships totalling $75,000, travel opportunities and other educational prizes are being offered of-fered by General Mills, sponsor of this search designed to assist the schools in building in young women a deeper appreciation and understanding of the American home and the personal qualities quali-ties necessary to successful home-making. |
