Show City Fathers Oppose Action On Highway Re-routes The Cedar City administration in response to a request from officials of St. George, has gone on record as opposing the routing rout-ing of new highway construction construc-tion in such a way as to by pass communities cf the state. A resolution re-solution is being prepared to present pre-sent to the state road commission asking cooperation between the Road Commission and the state Department of Publicity in determining de-termining highway alignments or routing. The orginal request was for support of a move to request approval ap-proval on such re routing before be-fore any community would be by-passed. However, the local administration felt that the request re-quest should ask only for cooperation co-operation between the two agencies which would result In a thorough public study of the problem pro-blem before decisions were finally fin-ally reached. City Attorney Patrick H. Fen-ton Fen-ton was ordered to prepare a resolution re-solution to be submitted to the State Road Commission. |
