Show Cedar City Planners Studv Costs For Water Dept. Sheds An investigation is being made by the Cedar City administration administra-tion to determine the cost of erecting new steol sheds north of the city for use by the city water department in order that obsolete sheds at the recreation park can be removed. Several years ago a new yard was acquired on North Main Street immediately south of the city cemetery, on which a building build-ing was. erected to handle the street and sidewalk equipment and supplies. However, space required re-quired for the water department was not provided, and the city has continued to use the old sheds at the recreation park. These sheds were taken over from, the old CCC program before be-fore the area east of the city was developed as a recreation area, and the building was allowed to remain and has been in constant use since. Th? sheds have become rather inadequate for the purpose and at the ame time are a fire hazard in their present condition. In addition to relieving this situation sit-uation city officials feel that the greater convenience of having the city yards and sheds in one place would also be very advantageous |
