Show Famed Pianist To Appear Here on Monday The second number of the current cur-rent Cedar Music Arts series will feature Jakob Glmpel, concert pianist, pi-anist, a master of the keyboard. He will appear at the public school auditorium on Monday, Jan. 17. Mr. Gimpel, statf pianist for MGM studios in Los Angeles and concert pianist of international fame, has just return fronj Europe, Eu-rope, completing a concert tour which has taken him through all the principal countrfes on the continent. The talented pianist was born in Poland and trained there and in Vienna. He came to the United States a decade f.go following a sensational world tour in recital and as soloist with leading -orchestras. Acclaimed at his Town Hall debut, he has since returned to New York for seven successful recitals. A favorite with concert-goers concert-goers all over the country, Mr. Gimpel has also been guest soloist solo-ist with orchestras such as the SariFranciseo Symphony, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and the Chicago Symphony. He has also starred in the Hollywood Bowl and as featured pianist in New York andWashington, D. C. celebrations cele-brations of the Chopin Centennial. Centen-nial.
