Show "Salesman" Arrested By Quick Action of Citizen An example of what citizen cooperation with police officers can do in the way of promoting better police protection was illustrated il-lustrated last Friday by the action ac-tion of Haldow E. Christensen, former city councilman. S. W. Sanders, whose latest address ad-dress was Las Vegas, Nev., was apprehended as the result of Chrlstensen's action, and has been turned over to police officers of-ficers in the Nevada city. Sanders came into Cedar City and began offering for sale a number of miscellaneous items, including guns, tires, a saddle, and other items that he wa9 carrying car-rying in his car. When he offered of-fered to sell the saddle to Mr. Christensen, the former councilman council-man became suspicious and called the police. Sanders was apprehended and held on a charge of selling without a license, li-cense, while the police sent out inquiries about the alleged salesman. sales-man. It was found that Sanders was wanted by. police in Las Vegas, who asked that he be held and turned over to them. The items Sanders was offering for sale, were apparently all stolen merchandise. |
