Show Husband of Cedar Woman Returns From Korean Service Major Joseph R. Lambert, who has served with the 55th Fighter Squadron of the United States Air Force in Korea for nearly 18 months, returned home this week and will be assigned to a post in the states to continue his service. ser-vice. Major Lambert's wife, the former for-mer Miss Ruth McDonough, who has been living in Cedar City during her husband's absence, left Wednesday morning to meet her husband in Las Vegas. Following Fol-lowing a 30-day leave Major Lambert will report for duty in Detroit, Mich. A veteran of World War II during which he served with the Air Force in the Pacific theater of operations, Major Lambert has been assigned to air installation in the Korean area, and has done considerable combat flying during his tour of duty. He was with the same squadron with which Theil Reeves of Cedar City was serving when he failed to return from a combat mission over North Korea. Major Lambert is a brother of Cedar City Police Chief Tony Lambert, and is a former popular student at the Branch Agricultural Agricul-tural college. |
