Show Business School Head Tells Cedar Students That Employment Has Reached Hiqhest Peak "Office employment in Salt Lake and vicinity is at the high- j est peak in history," said I. W.j Stevens, president of Heneger School of Busines this week in talking to Cedar City high school students and educators. "Yet in the face of this peak, both business and government are calling for more trained typists, typ-ists, stenographers and secretar-ies," secretar-ies," Continued Mr. Stevens. The business college president also pointed out that salaries, too, are at a peak level with , Civil Service incomes of $1,750 . to $3,175 a year for stenograph ers. There are 30,000 Civil Ser-j Ser-j vice employees in Utah, accord-1 accord-1 ing to Mr. Stevens. "Honesty and initiative are basic requirements for success in business," he said in discussing factors important to young men and women. "Employers take for granted the ability to type and take shorthand or speedwriting but the development of personal qualities is just as important.
