Show B.A.C. Miss Edwards Ed-wards appeared two years ago in the production of "Faust" under un-der the direction of Prof. William Wil-liam H. Manning. Her present teacher, Prof. Johnson, will present pre-sent her in concert April 27. Miss Gibson is a freshman student and will be seen in her first opera op-era appearance. She is attending the B A C on a music scholarship. scholar-ship. Kent Myers of Cedar City and Verne Baird of Richfield will alternate al-ternate in the role of Alfio. As Lola will be Mrs. Ann Okerluhd Leavitt, Cedar City, and Christine Houchen, also of Cedar City. Miss Maryllis Heaton, Orderville and Carmen Rose of Delta, are cast In the role of Lucia. Wallace Adams of the college music faculty fac-ulty is assisting Duane Stewart of Delta In the role of Turiddu. Mr. Adams sang in opera four years while he was a student at B A C. Scenery for the opera is being prepared by Cal Bates, Cedar City student In art. Special effects of the scenery are partly dependent depend-ent on unusual effects from the lighting, being planned by Joe Bishop, Delta and Fernard Wood, Las Vegas. Costumes are being made by Mrs. Joye W. Jeterson of the home economics department, depart-ment, and Miss Virginia Henrie, Delta. The first presentation Wednesday Wednes-day will be for high school students, stu-dents, with the remaining three performances opeh to townspeople townspeo-ple and patrons from surrounding surround-ing communities. |
