Taxes collected by state and local governments in Utah during dur-ing the fiscal year ended June 30, 1951, totaled $88 million, or approximately $127.88 for every man, woman and child residing in the state. This total does not Include federal fed-eral taxes nor does it include fees or charges paid for specific services serv-ices rendered "by government. Property taxes charged during the 1950 tax year amounted to $38.1 million, or 43.3 of the total to-tal state and local tax collections In fiscal 1951. Of this amount, local lo-cal school district and state school equalization property taxes accounted for $22.9 million, city and town property taxes for $7.6 million, county property taxes for $6.0 million, and local road and bounty property taxes" for $1.7 million.
