Show Hope Williams Evans Recites Vows In Home Ceremony Of interest to many Cedar City residents is the recent marriage of Hope Williams Evans and John Bert Cooper. They exchanged exchang-ed wedding vows' in a double ring ceremony Saturday, Aug. 6 at 6 p. m. The ceremony was performed per-formed by Marvin F. Crawford, uncle of the bride. The nuptials took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry PJayer, brother-in-law and sister of the bride, in Salt Lake City. The bride is a daughter of Milburn W. Williams and the late Dora Urie Williams of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Cooper of Reno, Nev. are parents of the bridegroom. Immediately following the ceremony cere-mony a garden reception was held at the Player residence in Salt Lake City. Friday evening a buffet supper was given in honor of the bridal pair. Matron of honor was the sister sis-ter of the bride, Mrs. Cleo Alvord of Boise, Idaho. Harry Player performed per-formed the duties of best man. Flower girls were Nancy Jean Player, Sherry Alvord, Claudette Crawford and Mary Parmenter. Dora Lee Player was at the guest Book, while Mrs. Chester Barrick and Mrs. Richard DeRose were in the gift room. The coupJe left after the reception re-ception on a three-week honeymoon honey-moon trip after which they will be at home in Reno, Nev. Out-of-town guests who attended attend-ed the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. S. H. Cooper, Mrs. Georgie Parmenter and two children, Mrs. Blair Anderson of Reno, Nev.; Milburn W. Williams, Mr. and Mrs. David Williams, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Harrick, and Ed Hahne of Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Alvord and daughter daugh-ter of Boise, Idaho, and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin F. Crawford and daughter of Ogden, Utah. The beautiful floral pieces done in pink and white adorned the living room and dining room of the Wayer residence. They were all flown in to Salt Lake City direct from San Francisco. |
