Show Landscape Architect Makes Study Of Canyon Park Area Steps were taken during the past week toward the development develop-ment of the Wood's Ranch recreational recre-ational park In Cedar Canyon, when a forest service planner spent several days on the ground, assisted by local civic workers, surveyors and others.' R. C. Pragnell, landscape architect ar-chitect and forest service planner, plan-ner, visited the Dixie Forest area and spent most of his time Jay- Ing out development plans for the new Cedar Canyon park. A thorough study of the 40 acres of land was made, after which all types of facilities' were "spotted" "spot-ted" to provide the greatest possible pos-sible and most convenient use of the land available. Central and individual picnic sites, an amphitheatre, play ground areas and so on were located, lo-cated, and a detailed plan wi.11 be prepared, after which development develop-ment work on the various facilities facili-ties can be started by groups interested in-terested in helping to develop the park. Clarence Miller, president of the Chamber of Commerce, and Warren Bulloch, of the board of Iron County Commissioners', who spent considerable time at the park with Mr. Fragnell, reported that he was enthusiastic about the possibilities of the park becoming be-coming an ideal mountain recreation rec-reation area. |
