Cloyd is at present taking part in his third Midshipman training train-ing cruise in connection with his R O T C work on the campus of the University of Utah at Salt Lake City. More than 1,300 Naval ROTC midshipmen left Norfolk, Va. in July aboard 13 ships of the Atlantic At-lantic Fleet for a six-week cruise. They are undergoing practical training in shipboard life and duties. The training cruise has scheduled sched-uled stops in Colon, Panama; Havana, Cuba, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Cloyd will disembark from the cruise on Aug. 26 at Norfolk. |
