Show Councilmen Terms Expire for Three Office Holders Terms' of three City Council-men Council-men of Cedar City will expire on Dec. 31, 1955, and successors must uc ivcuitu tti me municipal titration titra-tion in November. However, little lit-tle attention has been given to the matter up to date. The regular terms of Willard Lunt and Keith Smith will expire at the end of the year, as will the term of Grant Seegmiller, who was appointed to complete the unexpired term of Marion F. Grames, deceased. No individual or party announcement an-nouncement has been made as yet as to whether any or aU of the three councilmen will be candidates for re-election. One change will take place In the election procedure this year, the office of City Treas'urer to be filled by appointment rather than election as in the past. The term of Mrs. Ross Glass, who was elected elect-ed to the position of treasurer, expires this year, but the position posi-tion wiU not be filled by election elec-tion under new municipal regulations. regu-lations. The office of City Recorder Re-corder was changed from an elective elec-tive to an appointive office two years ago, when Mrs. Ellen Sim-kins Sim-kins was appointed to the position posi-tion after having completed an elective term. |
