Show Former Cedar City Residents Injured in Accident Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Thorley and their daughter, Colleen, former for-mer Cedar City residents, were injured in an automobile accident acci-dent in California last week, according ac-cording to word received by relatives rela-tives here. Wayne Thompson of Ogden, a former Cedar City resident and nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Thorley, stopped off in Cedar City Tuesday Tues-day after having been called to California because -0 the accident acci-dent and reported that all but Mrs. Thorley were recovering satisfactorily, sat-isfactorily, but that she was still in a serious condition from injuries in-juries received in the accident. Mrs. Thorley, who Is a sister of Urie and Richard Williams of Cedar City, suffered several dis-.located dis-.located vertebrae In her neck, a broken right arm, dislocated .'eft shoulder and her jaw was broken in two places. Colleen suffered a broken arm, several fractured ribs' and a punctured lung. Mr. Thorley suffered severe lacerations and bruises about the head and body. According to reports received the accident occurred when a car driven by a California woman wo-man ran a stop sign and crashed into the Thorley car at an intersection inter-section near Colton, Calif. The other car was occupied by a second sec-ond woman and nine children, It is understood, but none were seriously Injured. |
