Show Mar Alice Shamo Becomes Bride 01 David Anderson Mary Alice Shamo, popular senior student at the Cedar City High School, and David Anderson, Ander-son, who has just returned from a tour of duty with the United States Army, recited nuptial vows at the St. George L D S Temple Friday, Mar. 12. President Harold S. Snow officiated. Following the wedding ceremony cere-mony the couple returned to Cedar Ce-dar City where they were honored hon-ored at a reception at the First Ward recreation hall. A program and dance was held in connection connec-tion with the reception. Assisting the lovely bride during dur-ing the day was Opal Bauer as maid of honor and Joyce Halter-ma,, Halter-ma,, bridesmaid. Reva Shamo and Donnetta Anderson acted as hostesses at the reception. John Anderson, brother of the groom, stood as best man for the occasion. occa-sion. The new Mrs. Anderson is the sister of Mrs. Arthur R. Jones of Cedar City. She has lived here for a number of years and is at present attending the Cedar City High School where she plans to continue her studies and graduate gradu-ate in exercises this spring. Mr. Anderson is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Anderson of Cedar Ce-dar City. He is a graduate of the Cedar City High School and has just recently returned from an overseas assignment in Germany with the army. He served with a tank corps while overseas. Following the reception the couple embarked on a honeymoon honey-moon trip that saw them tour Nevada and Arizona. They returned re-turned Tuesday evening to Cedar City where they will make their home. Mr. Anderson plans to continue con-tinue his education next year by enrolling in the College of Southern South-ern Utah. |
