Show Extension Classes To Be Climaxed At Testimonial Meet The most successful extension class in L D S theology that has ever been taught in Cedar Stake will come to a close this evening, eve-ning, Thursday, when Elder Rodney Rod-ney Turner, of the Lr D S Seminary, Semin-ary, lectures on "The Millenium." Climax of the highly successful classes, however, will be next Thursday, Mar. 25 at the Third Ward chapel when a testimonial meeting will be held by the more than 300 who have been attending attend-ing the lectures. Dale Tingey, also of the L D S Seminary, has presented a number of lectures along with Mr. Turner. At the testimonial, priesthood groups of the stake, the Stake presidency, President Harold S. Snow of the St. George Temple and the mothers of both Mr. Turner Tur-ner and Mr. Tingey will be in attendance to honor the extension exten-sion group for its work. A program will be presented with brief remarks by the members mem-bers of the stake presidency and several musical numbers. Members Mem-bers of the congregation will also be urged to give remarks during the evening. Mr. Tingey's mother, Mrs. I. P. Tingey of Centerville, Utah, will make a trip to Cedar City for the occasion, and Mrs. Alvina Turner, mother of Mr. Turner will travel I from New York to Cedar City to honor her son at the testimonial. It is expected that several hundred hun-dred people will be on hand to bid farewell to the classes that have become so popular, not only with L D S groups but with people peo-ple of other faiths as well. It is generally felt by stake leaders that the classes have performed a gr?at missionary service for the church within the confines of Cedar Stake. |
