Show C S U Opera Provides Entertainment For Theatre Goers Instrumental and vocal music students of the College of South-cm South-cm Utah combined their efforts for an excellent operatic presentation presen-tation last week that provided a rare treat for all music lovers of the area. The students, under the direction direc-tion of Prof. Blaine Johnson, head of the vocal department, and Prof. Roy L. Halversen, head of the instrumental music department, depart-ment, appeared in the popular opera "The Student Prince" for four evening performances and two matinees, to please a large crowd on each occasion. The excellence ex-cellence of the performance by the music students was attested by the fact that the largest crowd of any of the performances was present on the last evening, and this in spite of competition from other popular events in the city. The cast of principals and the choruses under the direction of Prof. Johnson gave excellent performances per-formances to the accompaniment of the college orchestra directed by Prof. Halversen. |
