Show Prof. Twain Tippetts Named to Attend Public Schools Meet Prof. Twain Tippetts, head of the English department of the Collego of Southern Utah, has been selected by the National Citizens Commission for Public Schools, to attend the National Conference in San Francisco this week end as a Utah representative representa-tive of education. Announcement that Prof. Tippetts Tip-petts had been invited to attend the conference was made through Dr. Daryl Chase, CSU Director, after af-ter he had been contacted by Ray Carlson, head of the commission and president of Life and Time Magazines. The objective of the National Citizens Commission for Public Schools, is to bring together business busi-ness and industrial leaders to encourage en-courage greater interest in the problems of the public schools. The conference will be held at the coast city on Friday and Saturday, Sa-turday, March 19 and 20. Prof. Tippetts left early Thursday en-route en-route to the conference. He attended at-tended a similar conference in Denver last year, and it was undoubtedly un-doubtedly because of this experience exper-ience 1hat he was selected as a representative of Utah at the San Francisco meetings. |
