Show Original play Icicles off season " " """"" m """"" """" mmm" ' " ' '"pSfr : i L LA YTON Santa Claus wiU be one of the stars of 4 'Hansel and Gretel in Candyland," an original musical melodrama, written by Margaret Brough to introduce Santa Claus in the Layton Hills Mall. The program will be presented on Saturday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. in the newly remodeled center court of the ' MalL It will last about one half I hour. I The setting for the story is a long time ago when Hansel and Gretel ran away from home. Because of their actions, Santa decides not to visit them. To discover the ending of the tale, you will need to attend the performance next Saturday. Starring in the production will be Marge Stenquist as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Michael Stevenson as Hansel, Allison Lyman as Gretel, Mark Andrus as the musicman and Santa Claus as himself. An ensemble of musicians from the Davis High band will be pan of the program. This is the third year Margaret Brough has been invited to write an original play for the Layton Hills Mall. Cast members of "Hansel and Gretel in Candyland" put the finishing touches on the production that will be performed in the Layton Hills Mall centercourt on Nov. 17th. Marge Stenquist left rear stars as the Sugar Plum Fairy. Allison Lyman is Gretel. Mark Andrus is the Musicman'and Michael Stevenson is Hansel. The original script was written by Margaret Brough |
