Show NARFE picnic set Aug. 9 those who have problems with the j retirement system. The chapter : meets on the second Tuesday of each month at the Bountiful Golden Gol-den Years Center at 12:30 p.m. Visitors are welcome. The Bountiful Chapter of the National Na-tional Association of Retired Federal Fed-eral Employees (NARFE) has announced plans for the summer picnic. The activity will take place Aug. 9 at the small bowery in the Bountiful City Recreation Complex, Com-plex, east of the swimming pool. Festivities will begin at 12:30 p.m. An invitation is extended to all federal retirees in the south Davis area and to their spouses and families. fami-lies. Those who plan to attend should call Chapter president Carrol Car-rol Howell at 295-7405 before Aug. 8. A nominal fee will be assessed to help defray the cost of food. The NARFE is an organization of retired federal employees, whose purpose is to defend the retirement re-tirement rights and benefits of its members and to improve the general gener-al welfare of all elderly individuals. Membership is available to any person, who is eligible for benefits under the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) or the Federal Employee's Em-ployee's Retirement System (FERS) and to actively employed federal workers who have a vested interest in either system. The Bountiful Chapter welcomes wel-comes inquiries from prospective members and is prepared to assist |
