Show j Llewellyn Dansie LAYTON Llewellyn B. Dansie, Dan-sie, 88, of 585 S. Main, died Monday, Mon-day, July 18, 1988 at a Bountiful nursing home of causes incident to age. She was born Dec. 10, 1899, in I 1 1 S f I If lifflfj r - ( 1 " She and her husband owned and operated Dansie's, a retail market and sporting goods store in Layton for 47 years. It was the first convenience con-venience store in Layton. They were also involved with rental properties, two different Dairy Queens, a service station and homes. She was a member of the Layton Chamber of Commerce and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post No.. 87. She was a member of the Layton 1st LDS Ward and had been a Relief Re-lief Society visiting teacher. Surviving are two sons, Jay B. and his wife Marleen Dansie, Layton; Floyd R. and his wife LaRue Dansie, Evanston, Wyo.; nine grandchildren and 14 greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary. Bishop Renny Knowlton officiated offici-ated at funeral services July 22. Family prayer was offered by Jay B. Dansie; prelude, Mary Barber; organ medley, Mary Barber; invocation, Wayne Bone; remarks, Bishop Renny Knowlton; Knowl-ton; speakers, Kevin L. Mansfield and David E. Adams; "Somewhere "Some-where My Love" by LaFay D. Simmons; benediction, Hal Rigby. Dedication of the grave was by Floyd R. Dansie with interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ryan F. Dansie, Dan-sie, Douglas F. Dansie, Dane F. Dansie, Kevin L. Mansfield, Kent L. Dansie and Kent Laird. LLEWELLYN B. DANSIE Layton, a daughter of William James and Alveretta Francis Carlos Car-los Bone. She married Robert Erva Dansie June 20, 1923, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died June 23, 1984. She was a lifelong resident of Layton, attended Davis County schools and graduated from Davis High School. |
