Show Alzina H. Barton 0 I ? CENTERVILLE Alzina Hale Barton, 79, passed away Sunday, July 31, 1988 after a long illness. Born Aug. 9, 1908 in Groveland, Ida., the daughter of Franklin George and Cora Elizabeth Hammond Ham-mond Hale. Married George Byron Barton Dec. 14, 1932 in the Logan LDS Temple. He died Jan. 31, 1959. Her accomplishments in life were many. She served for many years in the Utah Hairdressers and Cosmetologists Assoc., as president, presi-dent, executive secretary and chairman of the state board. She served as the first president of the newly formed Centerville Historical Historic-al Society. Service to her church was her greatest love. She worked with various va-rious church general boards with their libraries and visual aids, as well as with the curriculum writing committee. She served in many capacities at a ward and stake level. For the past 20-30 years she worked as a ward and stake librarian. libra-rian. She has received many honors and awards throughout her life. She is survived by her children, John H. and Gerry Barton, Centerville; Center-ville; David M. and La Von Barton, Fruit Heights; Elizabeth and Tony Poloni, Centerville; Margaret and Thomas Brown, Kaysville; Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Barton, Centerville. Centervil-le. Preceded in death by son Robert B. Barton. Also surviving are 20 grandchil- ALZINA HALE BARTON dren and 9 great-grandchildren. One sister, Thalia Masters, Mur-taugh, Mur-taugh, Ida.; 4 brothers: Alma T. Hale, Springfield, Ore.; Lucius M. Hale, Palmyra, Va.; Eldon J. Hale, Granger, Wash.; Loren D. Hale, Edmonds, Wash. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 4, in the Centerville Centervil-le 1st Ward Chapel, 160 South 300 East. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday evening at Russon Rus-son Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and from 10:30-1 10:30-1 1 :45 at the church prior to the services. ser-vices.
