Jim 10 (Death Valley) Scott, pitcher for the Chicago Americans, has joined the San Francisco baseball club and will don a Seal's uniform next week, it was announced an-nounced here tonight. Scott is in Beloit, Wis., and the deal was negotiated by long-distance telephone. Scott left the White Sox in 1917 and entered en-tered an officers' training camp at the Presidio here, where he won a captain's commission. He later was stationed at Camp Lewis. Wash. He was said to have made his own arrangements ar-rangements with the White -Sox for his release. The financial details were not made public. |
