They are at home for the present at the residence of Mrs. Wells's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Seldon I. Clawson. Friends of Mrs. John E. Lewis, wife of .Major Lewis, who was the guest of her parents, Colonel and Mrs. George L. Byram, at T'ort Douglas last summer, will be interested to know that she is pleasantly located with her husband at tho Pennsylvania military college. Since Major and Mrs. Lewis are so near New York, they are able to pass frequent week-ends with friends there. Miss La Trice Belcher left last week for Oklahoma City to join a house party and later will visit her aunt, Mrs. J. T. Burgher, in Dallas Texas. Mrs. Burgher will accompany Miss Belcher to New York early in the summer, where Miss Belcher willi enter a school for a course in interior decorating. Miss Helen Leiff has returned from Washington, D. C, after an absence of a year, during which time she has been in government service. Mrs. J. C. Berks has returned from southern California and is now at home at 485 Seventh avenue. ; Mrs. Harry Aldous will leave this weel; for San Francisco and southern California to be gone several months. Tho reception was given in the parlors of the Rio Grande church. A well arranged program was given, and supper was served by the women of the Rio Grande church. Tho Rev. J. Sherman Wallace of the Iinmanuel Baptist church made a brief address of welcome.
