RANDALL-DDDD TO 5T W SHOW Spacious Salesrooms to Be Filled With Passenger Cars and Trucks. ' "Where is the exhibit of GMC trucks?" This is a question which many visitors to the auto show and others who are interested in-terested in motor trucks, and have heard of the distinguished honors won by GMC trucks during the war, will be asking this week. The following statement by Sales Manager Davis of the Kandall-Podd Auto company, local dealers in GMC trucks and Buick and National passenger cars, furnishes fur-nishes a definite answer to the above query: "We are not exhibiting at the auto show this year, because wo want to give the public a chance to see a much more extensive and elaborate display of GMC trucks, Bufcks and Nationals than could possibly be shown in the limited space allotted to dealers at the auto show. "That is why we are holding an auto show of our own this year, in our salesroom sales-room on Fourth South street, where there is plenty of room and where exceptionally exception-ally good facilities are available. "This special exhibition will by no means bo confined to passenger cars. In the light of the honors which the govern- ment heaped upon GMC trucks during the , war. we feel that they deserve a promi- nent position in our showrooms. "It is pretty well known that when it came to selecting the most capable chassis of the three-quarters ton size suitable for ambulances and other purposes pur-poses reqnlring a 1500-pound truck, the government found that it could not improve im-prove on the GMC modal. The GMC three-quarters ton chassis was. therefore, adopted, exactly as manufactured by the General Motors Truck company, and was made a government standard, replacing the liberty truck for that particular size. "Visitors to our own auto show will be given an opportunity to examine this wonderful won-derful GMC modci, as well as tho larger sizes, all of which have the same correct engineering principles and sturdy construction con-struction which attracted the government experts. "We are especially desirous that out-of-town visitors should come in and examine ex-amine our display of GMC trucks. Our present . tock is so : x tensive and com -plete that a prospective truk user could make his selection from the models exhibited ex-hibited and could Immediately obtain pes- session of one exactly like it. i '"The Randall-Dodd auto show will he j open evenings during show week, and will include Nm lonal and 7-iuick passenger cars, as weii as GMC trucks."
