Show SUSPECTED OF SLAYING MASSACHUSETTS GIRL WEST NEWTON, Mass., April 9. After a baffling search of nlno days for tho murderer of Miss Mabel Paso, who was stabbed to death in her father's house In Weston on March 31st, tho Stato police po-lice arrested tonight Charles L. Tucker, a former railroad employee, who had apparently ap-parently established an alibi as to his whereabouts on tho day of tho tragedy. Tucker will bo arraigned Monday, charged with murder. Tho attention of tho pollco -was again turned to Tucker yestorday through tho discovery that several of his statumonts by which ho had proved an alibi were false. Tucker Is 21 years of age. Up to two weeks ago he was a baggageman on tho Boston & Albany railway. I,ast April, while boating on the Charles river with his wife, tho bjat overturned and Mrs. Tucker was drowned. The pollco made an investigation of tho accident, but took no action. |
