D. f'andland of Mt. Pleasant was the permanent perma-nent chairman and IT. T. Haines of Emory i-ounty secretary. A honted discussion fol lowed the .report of the committee on order I I of business because 'It shut out a countv not represented by a resident of that county. San Juan waa not allowed a vote, as tho proxy was held by a man from hnnpete. w. D. Livingston and Judgo Johnson wero candidates, and on tho first I ballot Livingston received 22 votes to 11 for Johnson and wn. declared tho noTil-I noTil-I ?c' ,w- H- Kr-V of Carbon county.
