Show Farmington Fiesta Days This Weekend Farmington will celebrate Fiesta Days on Saturday, July 16 in the city park, according to Lee Olsen of the Lions Club. THE festivities will begin at 3 p.m. with the Little League baseball finals and many other games, under the direction of Al Mayo, Larry Young and Evan Olson. Concessions will be in full swing during the afternoon and evening. THE BIG parade with more than Gentries with the theme "MyTown, USA" will begin at the Rock Chapel at 6 p.m. and continue down Main Street south to 200 South where it will proceed to the Farmington Elementary School. This will provide a longer parade route where it may be viewed. Food will be served at booths in the park during the late afternoon af-ternoon and evening, it will not be a full dinner. THE SPECIAL talent show and program will begin at 8: 30 p.m. in the park. Wilson Stevens is directing the talent show and any young lady should check with him before that evening. A musical program will include a singing group from Weber State College. The Far-mington Far-mington Lions quartette including Gordell Brown, M.P. Leonard, DeVere Weight and Wilson Stevens will provide music. EVERYONE is invited to come participate in the parade and other activities in this annual an-nual event sponsored by the Lions Club of Farmington. Drawings for the TV and many other prizes will be held following the program. The parade winners will also receive their prizes at this time. THE general chairman is Gordell Brown and all members of the Lions Club and the Lady Lions will be assisting as-sisting to make this the greatest grea-test Fiesta Days on record, kj |
