Show West Bountiful ) The Elders and wives of the Fourth Ward are looking forward for-ward to the big event of the summer, coming in August. Saturday, August 20 at 4 p.m. they will meet in a big party at the City Park. There will be something for everyone, volleyball, co-ed softball, food, relays, games and prizes. The Primary Pioneer parade of the Fourth Ward will be held Monday, July 18 at 10 a.m. The children will travel from the church to the City Hall and to the City Bowery. Parents are welcome to come to watch. Children are to bring their own sack lunches. The Primary will provide popsicles at the park. Primary T-shirt appliques will be for sale that day for 50 cents each. Missionaries Howard Smith and Steve Bown are soon being be-ing released from the mission field. Becky Peterson, daughter of the John Garv Petersons, is having new experiences down at Jacob Lake, Ariz, on the north rim of the Grand Canyon. She is a professional babysitter. She traveled down to Jacob Lake with Camille Mitchell and company, who went on a few days vacation. The John (Jr.) Millyards, have been enjoying entertaining entertain-ing Jr.'s sister Janice Mercer of Calif. Lee and Marva Churchill had a fun visit to Idaho for the 4th of July. Howard Martin has been hospitalized for what seemed to be heart problems, but what seems to be an ulcer. We hope for this recovery. The rennovation work at the First Ward Church seems to be going along on schedule. The hardwood floor is finished in the Cultural Hall. The furnaces are in. Hopefully the church will be ready for occupancy sometime some-time in September, according to Bishop Mottishaw. The Young Men and Young Women of the First Ward are planning a trip to the Manti Pageant. City Administrator J. Dell Holbrook is having different experiences with his hydroponic gardening. Joe and Bonnie Kent are moving to Layton and the Brad Manes are moving into their home in the First Ward. We wish them both well. Gordon and Kris Flanders have moved into the First Ward. Ruby Price is back from a trip to California. We hope that Kenneth Ser-gent Ser-gent of City Center, is soon better. Charolotte Hayes flew back from North Hollywood (Buena Park), Calif. She had been staying with her aunt, Florence Sherman. She had helped in moving. The Hayes' son, Alan is serving in the armed forces in Fort Dix, New Jersey. Daughter Debra traveled to Boise, Idaho to meet her future in-laws, during dur-ing the July 4th holiday. Congratulations to John and Lorraine Pack, who live on 1600 North. They have a new baby boy. The Relief Society of the Third Ward will enjoy demonstrations at the City Park on July 26. They will also al-so participate in a potluck dinner. The Merry Miss B's of the Third Ward had a great slumber party at the home of Sandra Fehse Wednesday night. Wade Davis came home to visit after his stay in Idaho. Fay Byington is enjoying the business and excitement which is going on down at the LDS Genealogical Society where she is employed in Salt Lake City. Her husband, Dell oversees the grain mill in Salt Lake City. The Brandt Childs have been having lots of visitors. They had guests from Butler, Pa., John and Margaret Volner, son Ed and friend. The Childs and the Volners met at the Hill Cumorah Pageant. The Childs also had as their guests, Al and Glenda DeChamplain, daughter Jamie and friend Bobette Wilcox. The DeChamplains are from Torrence, Calif. They were baptized by Robert Child, while he was in the Mission field. Myrveldean Dangerfield is recovering from two weeks of illnesss.
