This portion of the entertainment will take place inside the Davis U of U complex. All other entertainers en-tertainers will perform outside. out-side. SATURDAY'S schedule includes: "A! Thelin and his puppets," 2 to 3 p.m. Two performances per-formances with a brief intermission inter-mission will be staged within the hour. Al, best known as a photography instructor for children, is currently teaching in the children's workshop at the Bountiful Art Center and has performed in the Children's Theatre at the "U" and recently at the Renais- sance fair at Westminster College. Classical quintet, all members of the Mormon Youth Group and guest artists at Snowbird, will perform from 3to 5p.m. RICH Mavin, well-known banjo artist from our own community, will entertain from 5: 30 to 6 p.m. His repertoire reper-toire includes everything from the traditional banjo favorite, "Twelfth Street Rag" to the non-traditional, non-banjo sound of "Lara's Theme" and "Hava Nagila." Sherrie Cole Dancers, this group noted for their black and Hotel Balderdash will be part of the entertainment at the Bountiful Art League Fair scheduled in Bountiful on July 29. white formal attire, smiles and versatility in ballroom dance, will perform from 6 to 6:30p.m. and again at 8 to 8: 30 p.m. The dancers, who delight numerous audiences throughout the valley, recently danced for over 500 people at the ZCMI Mall. SALT Lake Brass Ensemble, Ensem-ble, consisting of five professional profes-sional musicians, this group will perform at 7 p.m. The members, whose backgrounds are mostly in classical music, also enjoy ragtime and it is this love that brings them together. Their program will thus include both classical and ragtime music. The group is currently being featured in the Salt Lake parks concerts. The appearance of the group at the fair is co-sponsored by Musicians Performance Trust Fund through Local 104. Children's Creative Dance Class, Davis I1 of U, under the direction of Marilyn Wagstaff, will perform brief routines periodically throughout the day on Saturday. THE FAJR will conclude with the drawing for ten works of art by noted Utah artists at approximately 8:30 p.m. The drawing will be conducted by popular emcee, Carl Hancuff . |
