Show Services Held Here For Former Cedar City Resident Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in the Cedar First Ward Cha-noi Cha-noi Mend"" nftemccr. for Mrs. Catherine Williams Walker, 74, who died in Los Angeles Thursday, Thurs-day, June 4, of natural causes. Burial was in the Cedar City cemetery. Mrs. Walker was born in Cedar City on November 6, 1890, a daughter of Thomas rnd Annie Anderson Williams. On June 7, 1922, she married Reuben Walker Walk-er in Parowan. She had resided in Cedar City during most of her life until after the death of her husband. Survivors include sons and daughters, Earl Blomgren, Norma Walker, Miles Walker, Mrs. Enda Williams, all California; Jack Walker, Keith Walker, Dee Walker, Walk-er, all Nevada; Blaine Walker, Nephi; Herbert Walker, Cedar City; 20 grandchildren, and two brothers, Evan Williams and Vernon Ver-non Williams, California. Speakers at the services were Max Williams and Parson U. Webster, with remarks by Bishop Lowell Sherratt, who presided. Sentiments were read by Rebecca Bulloch Matheson. Invocation was by Blaine Walker, benediction benedic-tion by Craig Neptune, dedication dedica-tion of the grave by Herbert Walker, and prayer at the mortuary mor-tuary by Ned Walker. The musical program included a vocal solo by Miles Walker, a vocal solo by Ray Cosslei, and a number by a mixed quartet composed of Lois McConnell, Mamie Ma-mie Eck, Wm, Condie and Her-schel Her-schel Neeley. Accompanist was Beth Lefgh. Prelude and post-lude post-lude music was by Belle Jones. |
