Show Enid Hatch 8 Phone 789-3150 g Vernalites attend concert Mr. and Mrs. Roger Hacking, Dr. and Mrs. Larry Wilcken and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Var Campbell were in Salt Lake City Wednesday night, March 5, and attended a "Two Piano Concert-' by Ferrante and Teicher at the Symphony Hall. Don and Leah Morrell are grandparents grand-parents of a baby boy born March 9 to Daughn and Malissa Morrell at the Uintah County Hospital. He weighed 8 lbs., and was 21 inches long and will be named Daughn Jan Jr. Maternal grandparents are Glade and Darlene Holmes. Great grandparents are Ema Holmes of Davis, Ben Slaugh of Naples and Rex and Melba Pierce of Phoenix, Arizona. Mr. and Mrs. Dee (Clara) Jenkins from Maeser and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer R. (Aurella) Moon of Duchesne flew to San Diego, California last week where they attended the spring convention for Federal Land Bank. Howard and Florence Williams visited in Provo with Donna Biry last Friday and Saturday. Deareld and Valery Rich and Larry and Ardith Abegglen returned Sunday, March 9 from a vacation trip which was a bonus won by Mr. Rich from the Interstate Homes. Mr. Rich is the agent in Vernal for Rocky Mountain Interstate In-terstate Homes. The Riches flew to Miami, Florida and from there left by ship on an eight day, seven night Caribbean cruise. The family of May (Schanno) Bowden held a family open house for Mrs. Bowden on Friday, March 7 in honor of her 80th birthday. Her family included Mary Slaugh, Dorothy Rowen, Irene Bowden, Don and Betty Bowden, Clara Arnold, Jay and Vieena Bowden, Walt and Wilma Bowden, Jim and June Fisher and Ema Wilson from Tridell. Lola Stoner of Grand Junction, Colorado was unable to attend because of illness. Francis and Betty Bowden were also unable to attend. Others attending were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schanno, Coos Bay, Oregon; Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Schanno, Robert Schanno and Iola East. Mervin and Mary Slaugh visited in Salt Lake City last week with their son and family, the Deloy Slaughs. They met Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schanno at the Salt Lake City airport. The Arthur Schannos visited with a sister, Tola East, the Delbert Schannos, May Bowden and Robert Schanno. They also stayed at Dorothy Rowens and with Don and Betty Bowden while visiting in Maeser. Visiting at the Boyd Hatch home last Tuesday were Merl Horrocks of Lapoint and Mike and Cleo Fucsscl of Salt Lake City. Gary and Terrilyn (Thomas) Dockery are parents of a baby girl born March 2 at the Uintah County Hospital. Her name will be Holly. Grandparents are Lynn and Collen Thomas. Great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mordne of Pay son. Trevelene Hall and Nancy Col ton hosted a baby shower, honoring Mrs. Chuck Henry, at Mrs. Hall's home last Tuesday night, March 4. Seventeen friends and neighbors played games, 'visited and took turns holding Carolyn's little "Tyler." Visttors at the Howard and Florence Williams home on Sunday, March 9 were Jim and Joye Brown and daughters, Roosevelt; Jan Van Tussenbrach, Dale and Vicky; Joyce Brown and Jennifer, F.vnnston, Wyoming; Betty Piraines, Salt Uike City and David and Jane Boyce and children, Roosevelt. Mr. Boyce is homo on a month's leave from Germany where he is stationed with the U.S. Air Force. Leon Mansfield, sons, Todd, Kelly and Kent, Manhattan, Kansas, arrived recently to visit with his parents, the Allen H.
