Show Water quality meeting scheduled Concerned about water quality? Pollution problems that threaten the quality of water in streams, lakes and reservoirs have been the focus of recent meetings held in various parts of the state. Another such water quality meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, March 19, beginning at 10 a.m. It will be at the Cow Palace three miles east of Roosevelt. People from Uintah, Duchesne and Daggett counties interested in-terested in water quality concerns and management plans to cope with them are invited. The Utah Association of Conservation District is sponsoring the water quality meetings. Discussions aim to help identity iden-tity pollution problems and look for local, practical solutions. Bacteria, nutrients, sediment, salts and chemicals coming from various sources constitute the pollutants of con-., con-., cern. Some originate naturally others , are mantaused or aggravated, authorities at the ' meetings have pointed out. |
