The victory over the Dinos was the first win of the season for the Rams. The Dinos had three chances to pull the game out but Corey Clark missed two free throws and a shot at the buzzer by Karl Slade bounced off the rim. The Dinos jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the.first quarter when Karl Slade fired in a two-pointer. The score at the end of the first quarter, after numerous jump balls and traveling calls, was 2-0 in favor of the Dinos. Karl Slade flipped in another field goal for a 4-0 Dino lead, but the Rams became red, hot in the shooting department in the second quarter as they outscored the Dinos, 8-0, on two field goals by Quinn Downard and one two-pointer each by Rial Chew and Scott Merkley. The scoring explosion netted an 8-4 lead for the Rams at the end of the second quarter. However, the Dinos quickly tied the game up at 8-8 on field goals by Karl Slade and Corey Clark early in the third quarter. Richard Rust of the Rams broke the 8-8 tie when he flipped in a free throw. Rial Chew popped in a field goal to make the score at the end of the third quarter, Rams, 11 and Dinos, 8. The Dinos' Karl Slade put in a field goal to cut the Rams' lead to one point, 11 to 10, but a free throw by David Wood increased the Ram advantage to 12 to 10.
