Show Salinity meeting open to public A public meeting is scheduled for March 20 to discuss salinity control of the Colorado River by irrigation practices. The meeting will be in the AVA room at Union High School. $2 million in government appropriations ap-propriations has been awarded to Uintah and Duchesne Counties for the project. Keith Beardall will explain the 2U8 water quality program, and Dennis Tuttle of the State ASCS will give information in-formation about priority areas and how funds will be distributed. Paul Christiansen, USU soil specialist, will explain water management and effective usage of water. The meeting will be of special interest in-terest to all farmers, but is open to the public. Everyone in attendance will have a chance to ask questions in relation to the salinity problem and proposed corrective measures. |
