Show May Reduce Charge in' Pelt Theft Case A motion that Charles Sullivan, who has been detained in tho county Jail for the past six weeks following tho burglary of Hie llunyon hide warehouse ware-house on Wall avenue, be allowed to enter a pla of petty larceny, will bo Hied in the district court tomorrow by District Attorney S. P. Dobbs. The I case will be heard by Judge A. W. Agec. ""Because of the prisoners past good record and confirmatory advices from Kenosha and Milwaukee, Wis., it has been decii.'d to reduce the charge ' from a felony to a misdemeanor, i Sullivan was arrested in Salt Lake In company with Edward Campbell on 1 February 20. They were accused of having sold the pelts from the Run-,yon Run-,yon warehouse to a hide house there and later entering that establishment. In extenuation of his acU Sullivan said ihc had been III with Influenza, was 1 without funds and not strong enough 1 to work. Campbell, lately discharged as a sergeant from the army, and yet under age. was tried three weeks ago and was fined 150 and costs. Ho also al-so agreed to -reimburse Runyon for the goods taken. |
