J. O'Carroll of the! Pacific Nash Motor company. It Is in this factory that Nash six cylinder cars and Nash trucks .arc built, the, new plant in Milwaukee, now under i construction being planned for thci H ' exclusive production of the Nash four. In addition to new buildings thatj have been added to the Kenosha plant In the past twelve months, thousands' of dollars worth of additional nia- ehinery also has been installed- As a fl j l-cstilt tho factory of the Nash Motors ! company is regarded as one of the' fl largest and most thoroughly equipped plants in the automotive industry, j To the visitor at the Nash factory! It Is plain that the dominating Ideal Is that of fine mechanical precision of, organized accuracy. No matter where I the oye may turn In these shops it finds fresh evidence of the fact that - the pressure of expansion, the con- tinually increasing demand for Nash products, is being provided for by the multiplication of mechanical efficl-ency efficl-ency by the development and Installa-1 tlon of marvelous automatic machines made to do many things at one time instead of a few. f An important addition to the fac- i tor'y Is found in a building 120 by 120 I feet which was added to"1 the largo I foundry. There arc in operation in the Nash H factory over 1500 productive machines H and over 300 factory maintenance Hl machines; the- plon embraces 1,011,- H 332 square feel of floor space and In H the power plant which keeps the- ma- Hj ah In cry In operation, 120 tons of coal H . arc used every 11 hours.
