Revision of Water Mail Routes Sosight SAN FRANCISCO, April 11 Revision Revis-ion of the mail routs to ventral America Amer-ica so that mail from the-Pacific Coast may go down the. west coast or else'folow thonnost dirccL lines on the east coast is being sought by trade development bodies of San Francisco. At present the only method of utilizing I the speediest route is to specify tho name of the ship on which the letter ii- desired to travel. Otherwise mail goes through New Orleans and may go as far as Panama and then back to Nicaragua, instead of entering the latter lat-ter republic by a shorter and morodi-rect morodi-rect line, according to those interested in the move. The experience of one San Francis co business man, who had to send c package from Montevideo, Uruguay to Panama via France, instead of directly up tho west coast of South America via, Valparaiso, is cited. This was merely because of an old postal agreement, agree-ment, and resulted in the package being be-ing delivered just a year later, because French steamship lines to Panama had been withdrawn during the war. rr
